An Early Two-Pronged Approach

A strategy for adding value to EpiHelp is the planned development of a parallel German and English speaking application. To achieve entry into the US market on a high level, EpiHelp management has used the existing network of physicians, attorneys, and healthcare industry contacts in Minnesota.  The State of Minnesota is well known for its cutting edge breakthroughs in healthcare and medical technology due to the presence of companies like Medtronic, Boston Scientific, St. Jude Medical, 3M and the world-famous Mayo Clinic.  In addition, a founder network for first-rate Life Science and healthcare related companies has been developed in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul.

In February 2008, EpiHelp defined objectives and established contacts on its first business trip. These include:
- Contact with leading executives of the founder organizations BioBusiness Alliance of Minnesota and LifeScience Alley.
- Initial meeting with FDA attorney Mark DuVal to assess the areas of data security and treatment options.  Mark DuVal.
- Identification of possible private and institutional investors
- Identification of possible advisers and future employees in Silicon Valley and Minneapolis
- Conversation with former U.S. Senator and founder of the National Institute of Health Policy David F. Durenberger (www.NIHP.org.)

In all our conversations, we encountered positive feedback. We now see it as our mission to put the announced cooperation with these individuals and institutions into our business plan.
